The Tigers traveled to Abilene, Texas, for the NCAA First Round and beat Pacific Lutheran (WA) University 2-1 in an overtime tilt. Trinity then shut out the 19th-ranked host Hardin-Simmons (TX) University 2-0 in the second round.
Trinity advanced to the Round of 16 for the first time since 2016, which was Coach Harrison's opening season. The Tigers are competing in their 11th consecutive NCAA Championship and the 25th overall. Trinity finished as runner-up in 2013, when the NCAA Championships were held at Toyota Field in San Antonio.
