Krimbill, McMindes Repeat Individual Honors in All-SCAC Release

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference selected senior Cameron Krimbill (Phoenix, Ariz. / Desert Mountain) and Head Coach Russell McMindes of No. 8 Trinity University Men's Tennis as its Player and Coach of the Year, respectively, in the league's All-SCAC release Wednesday.

Six of the Tigers were selected in the All-SCAC process for the 2022 campaign, led by Krimbill's second SCAC Player of the Year nod, first outright. The second-ranked singles player in the West has put together a strong resume thus far with an 11-4 overall record that includes a 3-0 mark in SCAC play and a 3-1 mark against nationally-ranked opponents.

The West's number one doubles team of senior Christian Settles (Claremont, Calif. / Claremont) and junior Hao Nguyen (Sugar Land, Texas / Strake Jesuit) topped the all-conference voting after a dominant 15-3 display throughout the season. The duo will carry a 10-match winning-streak into this weekend's NCAA III Regional action on the campus of No. 18 University of Mary Washington.

Nguyen joined Krimbill in the SCAC's singles first team while Settles added a nod on the singles second team alongside junior Alessio Azzalini (Rome, Italy / Istituto Visconti). The line-two doubles unit of senior Wilson Hamilton (Austin, Texas / ATA Prep) and junior Cameron Goldstein (Dallas, Texas / Episcopal) joined Trinity's first-flight pair as first-team All-SCAC.

The 2022 nod as SCAC Coach of the Year for McMindes marks the 11th selection for the 2002 Trinity graduate as he has earned at least a share of the title in all but one season since his first selection in 2010.

The Tigers collected the program's 26th SCAC Championship two weeks ago with a strong victory over Southwestern University in Kerrville, Texas; the 12th in-a-row. Below are the SCAC All-Tournament honorees:
