San Antonio - The Trinity men's tennis team is now ranked 11th in the nation by the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Rankings.
The Tigers rose six positions in the poll from a #17 ranking two weeks ago. In that time period, Trinity has captured three consecutive matches. The first was a 5-0 shutout of then-11th-ranked Kenyon (OH) College in Orlando, Florida. Trinity then blanked Austin (TX) College 5-0 and Concordia (TX) University 9-0 in matchups played in Dallas, Texas.
In the West Region, junior Jordan Pitts and senior Wilson Lambeth are both ranked in the top 15 in singles and stand at second as a doubles team, while first-year Artur Zigman and sophomore Cameron Krimbill are ranked 13th in doubles.
Prior to Thursday's home match with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the Tigers are sporting a 9-8 overall record and an 8-2 mark against NCAA Division III opponents. Trinity will next host #29 Southwestern (TX) University at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
