Orlando, Florida - The 17th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team took out #11 Kenyon (OH) College 5-0 on Friday at the USTA National Campus.
The Tigers came out smoking by taking all three doubles matches. Wilson Lambeth and Jordan Pitts won the top line, Cameron Krimbill and Artur Zigman took the second, while Wilson Hamilton and Jace Akagi-Okuma were victorious on the third.
In singles, Krimbill was the first off the court with a straight set win at line four, and Lambeth clinched the match with a two set victory over his opponent at line two.
The match was halted after the clinch, and number one, three, five, and six singles did not finish.
The Tigers improved their overall record to 7-8, and their mark against NCAA Division III opponents to 6-2. Kenyon dropped to 9-3 after the loss. The scheduled match against Hampden-Sydney (VA) College was canceled.
The Tigers head to North Texas to play two matches on Saturday, March 23. First up is a 9:00 a.m. match with Austin (TX) College in Sherman, Texas. Trinity then meets Concordia (TX) University at 3:00 p.m. in Dallas, Texas.
