SAN ANTONIO - Trinity University has hired Jordan Deadwyler to the Tigers' Sports Information staff effective immediately, the Department of Athletics announced Monday.

Deadwyler comes to San Antonio from fellow NCAA Division III member Macalester College (MN) where he was the assistant Sports Information Director for the Scots since January 2020 and aided the department in its coverage of all 21 sports.

The Jacksonville, Fla.-native spent the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic calendar as a graduate assistant at nearby NCAA II St. Cloud State University (MN) where he worked closely with the Huskies' football and women's basketball programs along with a host of the other 14 sports offered at St. Cloud.

The 2019 graduate of NCAA II University of Minnesota-Crookston was a member of the Golden Eagles' baseball program before he graduated in high distinction with his Bachelor of Science in Communications with a focus in Public Relations.

Deadwyler completes a Trinity Sports Information staff that covers 18 NCAA sports. Among other duties, the team maintains the athletics website, manages the department's social media and traditional media outlets, and directs statistics management and historical record-keeping.

He joins Trinity graduate Justin Parker '99 (Associate AD/Sports Information Director) and Harrison LaLone (Assistant AD for Sports Communications) in the athletics department, as well as teaming up with another Tiger alum, Josh Moczygemba '05 from the Strategic Communications and Marketing staff, for broadcasting athletics events on the Tiger Network.

"We are excited to have Jordan as our newest team member," Parker said. "We can't wait to see what such a talented person can bring to the Tiger Sports Info team."
